Matthew 6:11

Matthew 6:11
[11] Give us this day our daily bread

As you read the passage, what blessed you, challenged you, or raised questions?

Head:  What has God consistently provides for you?

Heart:  When you ask for something but don't receive it, how does that make you feel?

Hands:  How can you give thanks to God for His faithfulness to you?

Today's passage reminds us that Jesus wants us to talk to God about all our needs, even the daily mundane things.  And He wants us to ask for them, knowing that God will provide for our daily needs.

God knows us even better than we know ourselves.  We can trust that God will provide even for the things that we don't ask for because we are not aware of them.

Look back into your past and see all that God has provided for you.  God is faithful!  Let the reassurance of God's faithfulness fill you with encouragement and hope.  And let your knowledge of God's faithfulness to you enable you to confidently ask God for all things, both big and small.
