Matthew 5:9-12

Matthew 5:9-12
[9] “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. [10] “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [11] “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. [12] Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Head: What do you think are the benefits of peace?

Heart: How do you feel about the fact that Jesus brought peace between you and God?

Hands: How can you bring peace to your family, school, community?

Jesus desires for us to be peacemakers in this world. That's actually why Jesus came, so that He could reconcile us to God. Because of Jesus, we who were once enemies of God can now be His children.

We should make peace between people in this world, starting with the people near to us. But, we ultimately want to bring peace between people and God. One of the biggest blessings for Christians will be if someone says that they met Jesus because of your impact on their life! Are you prayerfully seeking to be a good influence on others, so that they can have peace and also know Jesus? It's not easy, and on our own it's impossible. But with Christ's guidance and His Spirit's power in us, you can do wonders to impact other people's lives!

Start by praying for people that God puts on your heart. Pray also that God would use you to help them to know peace with God through Jesus.
